European database for suspected adverse reactions

A European database of suspected side effects - that is, events that follow the use of a medicine - has been launched by the European Medicines Agency (EMA). At the moment, only drugs that are approved through the centralised procedure are included. The EMA is flagging this as a boost to transparency because it allows people to see the information on which safety reviews are based.
